Dean Campaign to Begin Airing First Television Ad
Nashville, TN -- Mayor Karl Dean’s reelection campaign announced today that it will begin airing its first television advertisement, entitled “Above,” on Thursday. "Nashville has made significant progress over the last four years," said campaign manager Courtney Wheeler, "and the mayor wanted to share the good news with the people of Nashville."
From the beginning, Mayor Dean has been committed to running an active campaign that communicates all that Nashville has achieved while many cities across the country are going backward.
“I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” said Mayor Dean. “Even more, I am proud of Nashville. I believe it’s important that Nashvillians vote to continue the progress we’ve made these last four years. There is more work that needs to be done and I’m ready to keep working. I am honored to say that Nashville’s best days are ahead of us.”
The 30 second ad was produced by the media firm, Putnam Partners, LLC.

“What’s new in Nashville?
I’m Karl Dean ... and some things have changed.
More kids are graduating than ever before.
School standards are up ... and with our early intervention,
truancy is down almost fifty percent.
We’ve never had more police ... and crime is down
six years in a row.
But some things haven’t changed.
Property taxes haven’t gone up. And while we cut
most spending by ten percent, we protected education
and public safety.
When you look at the country, we’re rising above.”
