Dean Fundraising Demonstrates Support for Continued Progress
Nashville, TN -- Heading into Early Voting which begins July 15, Mayor Karl Dean today posted a campaign fundraising total of $332,138 raised between April 1 and June 30, the end of the most recent reporting period. To date, the campaign has received the support of over 1,700 donors from across Davidson County for the 2011 reelection and has $472,916 cash-on-hand.
“I thank those who continue to support my efforts to move Nashville forward,” said Dean. “This election is very important for the city. We need to capitalize on the progress we’ve made and keep the momentum alive. This is why I continue to run an active campaign. Furthermore, I don’t take this for granted and continue to communicate to Nashvillians what we have accomplished together and, more importantly, what remains to be done. I ask for and encourage everyone to vote.”
“Mayor Dean has a vision for this city and is working hard to improve upon the advancements we’ve made in education, public safety, and economic development,” said Leigh Walton, Dean Campaign Treasurer. “He will continue to actively engage voters through Election Day.”
Early Voting runs July 15-30. Election Day is August 4, 2011.
