Tennessee Pipe Trades Endorses Karl Dean for Governor
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 25, 2018) — On Monday at their winter conference in Sevierville, the Tennessee Pipe Trades publicly endorsed Karl Dean for Governor.
“We are excited to support Mayor Dean who we believe will be the next Governor of Tennessee,” Tennessee Pipe Trades President Bobby Sproles said. “As governor, Karl will advocate for policies that support hard working Tennessee families including apprenticeship and training programs that provide young adults with promising career paths in the construction industry.”
“I thank Bobby and the Tennessee Pipe Trades for their support, and look forward to continuing to receive their insights on what the state can do to support the next generation of apprentices and journeymen,” Dean said. “We must invest in apprenticeship and training programs that provide young adults who do not go to a four-year college with alternative career paths that will pay more than a minimum wage.”
The Tennessee Pipe Trades represents more than 4,300 plumbers, pipefitters, and sprinkler fitters, and is a member of the the United Association of Plumbers, Fitters, Welders and Service Techs.
